Injection Products

Soil and groundwater remediation technologies have evolved dramatically over the past two decades. The environmental industry has seen the emergence of many different products designed specifically to support in situ remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater. These products are primarily designed to enhance biological activity (electron acceptors and donors, surfactants, nutrients), and chemical reactions (oxidants, reducing agents) in the vadose zone and aquifer.

One common thread that runs through the fabric of all remediation products is the need to deliver the product directly to the contaminated media. This requires specific equipment, and well trained operators with an appreciation for the site-specific challenges associated with lithologic conditions at any site. The previous sections discussing Injection Equipment options illustrate the advantages of having a spectrum of options to make adjustments in the field to meet these site-specific challenges.
